Speakers and Presentations:
Shannon Beresford – Director & End-of-Life Doula | Your Path Guide, Funeral Assistant and Chair | HELD Australia
Shannon Beresford is Director and End-of-Life Doula at Your Path Guide, an Adelaide-based practice offering non-clinical end of life support, planning and sound therapy. He partners with individuals, families and care teams to provide emotional, practical and spiritual support from diagnosis through to end of life and beyond. He also works as a Funeral Assistant, supporting families and celebrants on the day itself.
Shannon was drawn to this work through his own experience as primary carer for a loved one. That role gave him deep insight into the emotional and logistical challenges families face at the end of life, and it continues to shape his approach as a Doula.
As Chair of HELD Australia (Holistic End of Life and Death Care Australia Ltd), Shannon leads the national peak body for End-of-Life Doulas. He champions professional standards and workforce development that support doulas working across every setting, from independent practice to palliative and aged care teams.
Danielle Phillips – Founder, Sage Executor Solutions
Danielle Phillips is the founder of Sage Executor Solutions, an Australian service dedicated to preparing families for the realities of estate administration and supporting executors after someone dies.
Having personally acted as executor for both of her parents’ estates, Danielle understands first-hand how complex, time-consuming and emotionally demanding the role can be. She now uses that experience to help others prepare well before the time comes and to guide executors through the many practical and administrative responsibilities that follow a death.
Through her presentation, Pre-Planning for Executors & The Truth About Estate Administration, Danielle shares what families often don’t realise about the executor role, what can be prepared in advance, and how thoughtful planning can make an enormously difficult time easier for those left behind.
